Okay, this is a little out there and not a food. I'm a non-smoker but I think the fragrance of cig smoke at a festival adds to teh ambience. Of course, it's outdoors not trapped in a room and that makes a huge difference.

At the Greek festival, obviously a gyro, fries, and loukoumades. At the NC State Fair my favorite was the fried pecan pie. It was just amazing....the doughnut from my dreams. We also shared the fried mac & cheese, fried Snickers, and fried Twinkie, just for the experience, but they were just ok.
