Are F1 cars getting faster

We often don’t realize how much faster and more dangerous race cars are. Enthusiasts believe they are getting a feel for real racing when they take fast cars out on the actual race courses and push them to their limit, but as this video shows, even then, the enthusiasts aren’t even in the same realm as real race car drivers.

To drive the point home (pun intended), here is a version showing the two overlaid:
